Laziness is hard for me. But I had an excuse. I had surgery on my right shoulder. Man it was a bugger! Taking Shaklee supplements was the last thing on my mind. I wanted pain relief! I wanted out of the cumbersome sling.

I was dealing with pain. All I could think of was pain relief.

So I stopped with my supplements. I just didn’t think of them. I did not think they would matter.

I begin to notice, as I healed, that I was content to sit in a chair. I had lost my energy. I told myself it was the pain relief meds.

So I sat. Hands folded; really! And if you know me well, you would understand sitting in itself is not normal. Nope! But I was at peace. I sat.

Months went by. Yes, it was almost four months, when I thought to myself: Enough sitting! I started back on selective supplements. The basics. I began to wake up! I felt like I needed to do things! Clean. Weed my garden.

It suddenly dawned on me that the renewed energy was related to the supplements. I had been eating very well. My husband created some very good meals. But something was missing. I started with the MindWorks and Mental Acuity.

I slowly added Joint Supplement, Omega-guard, and Carotomax.

Why were my eyes driving me nuts!!! I wasn’t taking the Carotomax nor the Omega Guard.

Once back on them regularly, my eyes cleared up and weren’t as foggy. The itchiness also went away! So much better than chemical drops. The OmegaGuard would also help with any inflammation in my shoulder.

My eyes definitely needed those two together every day! I take one Carotomax in the am. and one at bedtime. I take 3 OmegaGuard in the am. and three at bedtime. It works!! (I do sleep with a mask for my eyes, and I think that helps incubate the fluids.)

(Interesting was: I began to cut way back on pain meds. Two ibuprofen: Two in am. Two at bedtime.) Why did I wait so long?

My Opthamologist was the one who prescribed the OmegaGuard. (I did not find relief with the over-the-counter AREDS-2 nor the awful side effects of a prescription med.

What is in the rest doesn’t matter. It has been found that this applies many times in discount stores. They are often outdated (you always should check the date on the bottle). They are also not as “pure” in quantity. (Discounted for a reason?)

Marketing rules are not for the consumer when it comes to supplements.

I came to the conclusion: When I skip my supplements, my body NOTICES!

Does matter if I take all my supplements?

Yes it does I found out.

It makes a HUGE difference if I miss.

Each supplement serves a specific purpose that contributes to my overall health and well-being. And many have related benefits to the body. (The OmegaGuard to pain relief.)

Are you taking your supplements EVERY DAY? Well you should!

When you stop, be it for illness, or recovery, or vacations, do you notice?

Does it seem that there is “something” not right?

Do you suddenly notice an energy drop? Are you sitting more?

I have learned to make certain I pack my supplements when we travel in my carry-on bag! Vacation time is a great time for supplements. You are in strange territory: air, exposure to different illness, different foods, and different cleanliness codes, etc. I have learned to pack extra!

When you are home: perhaps you are not as active as friends, or when you were younger. Maybe you don’t have sustained energy, and you are wishing for more?

Maybe you need to take good vitamins!

Maybe you should consider changing. Change from the pharmacy supplements to one that you will notice!
