This is my first blog so I wanted to introduce myself. I have been retired for almost 15 years. (Yikes! That long!)

Why did I choose Shaklee? Why am I so passionate about their products? I want to briefly share my background.

I’m hoping that I can share that with you in this first blog post.

I actually started with Shaklee in Skin Care. I have always used a moisturizer with SPF for my face. I knew the importance of it. My girlfriend worked hard to get me to try Shaklee products. I was soo glad that she did. I tried them, and in over 20 years, have never changed nor doubted the product or cost.

After skin care came, Cleaning Products. Being a Master Gardener, I knew how important cleaning products are to our environment. I liked the ingredients. I liked the history of Shaklee and it’s commitment to the environment. I liked the science of Shaklee. (Did you know that HYDRATE was originally made just for the Space Astronauts?)

After a move to Indianapolis, and retirement, I decided to get more information on Nutrition. I enrolled in an online school, Precision Nutrition, that is recognized world wide. The studies took over four years to complete. I’m glad it did.

I have taken vitamins in the past. Years ago I used Centrum, a widely recognized brand. But when I ran out, there never was a “need” to get more. I didn’t feel any different. So I quit Centrum.

That is when Shaklee came into my life. I noticed when I didn’t take my vitamins. I did not have the energy nor the daily drive. I was convinced that Shaklee nutrition helped me feel at my best. I noticed the difference.

I have subscribed to Consumer Labs, and Environmental Working Group. I have learned a lot about chemicals and what products are really not consumer healthy. It has made me question the FDA, especially when European countries ban some products that are sold on the USA market?

I would like to share with you what I have learned so that you can become an educated consumer. I notice since Bob and I retired, that we feel more energetic than many of our retired friends. We also don’t go to the doctor very often (Medicare requires once a year, or we wouldn’t go for that!) I find that as I age, I have not added any prescriptions. We feel Good!
